Abstraksi:
The correlation among the Chest Diameter and Body Length on Body Weight of Peranakan Etawah (PE) Goat in Pucanglaban, Tulungagung.
This research was arranged on 19th November until 4th Desember 2009,in Pucanglaban, Tulungagung.
The purpose of this study is to know the correlation among the Chest Diameter and Body Length on Body Weight of Peranakan Etawah (PE) Goat.
This research used 40 male and 40 female goats in the age of 1-3 years old. The method used was survey and sample was taken with Purposive sampling.
The result shows that the correlation among chest diameter (X1) and body lenght (X2) on body weight of PE Goats was highly significance (P=0,001). The regression equation of male PE goats is: =-81,946 + 0,98X1 + 0,647X2 , R2 = 98,7% and r= 99,3%. While the regression equation of female PE goats is:=-72,858 + 0,896X1 + 0,617X2 ,R2 = 99% and r = 99,5%.
The conclusion is that there is a highly significance correlation among the Chest Diameter and Body Length on Body Weight of Peranakan Etawah (PE) Goat in Pucanglaban Tulungagung. It was suggested that to predict the body weight of PE Goat, it could be used the chest diameter and body length measurement, so that it was not necessary to weigh them before.
